On #JazzDay, we are reminded that culture plays a vital role in fostering understanding between peoples and that dialogue begins with listening. This is at the heart of the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, which today brings together 84 Creative Cities of Music. Across the world, these cities harness the power of music to strengthen international cooperation, support creativity and connect communities. Together with its partners, including the Herbie Hancock Institute of Jazz, #UNESCO continues to promote culture as a driver of sustainable development.
