In a difficult global environment, our 🆕 Gender Equality Strategy 2026–2029, approved by the #UNDPEB, seeks to advance gender equality as a whole-of-society priority. Over the next 4 years, we are committed to helping countries transform the systems, institutions, policies, financing choices, and norms that continue to sustain inequality. The strategy emphasizes gender equality and the empowerment of women as inseparable objectives and fundamental for development and peace. It guides action on two fronts – combining longer-term efforts to reduce structural barriers with incremental changes that expand opportunities for individuals and communities.
