Milwaukee Public Schools is rolling out electric school buses this fall! About 6,000 students will ride 50 new electric buses daily, with the fleet scaling to 150 over the next three years. Each bus replaces a diesel vehicle, cutting emissions in neighborhoods and near schools. Fully funded through EPA Clean School Bus grants and ARPA dollars, this transition costs the district and taxpayers nothing while also helping relieve fuel-related surcharges. Cleaner air, healthier students, and a more sustainable future for Milwaukee. Check out the announcement from Superintendent Dr. Brenda Cassellius here: https://lnkd.in/es7CZxAv
