For a decarbonized shipping sector. Brazil and Germany stand firmly behind the IMO Net-Zero Framework as the key instrument for a decarbonized shipping sector by or around 2050. We encourage fellow IMO members to join us in endorsing the effective implementation of the 2023 IMO GHG Strategy – seizing this unique opportunity for collaborative climate action, enabling both a timely and just transition, with due attention to assessing and addressing its potential impacts, particularly on developing countries, including SIDS and LDCs, and ensuring international competitiveness and market opportunities. Diese einmalige Chance für gemeinsame Klimaschutzmaßnahmen können wir nutzen, um einen zeitnahen und gerechten Übergang zu ermöglichen.
