Why isn’t battery recycling scaling in Europe yet? In the latest episode of RAW MATTERS podcast, our VP Battery Recycling Solutions, Cedric Demonthy, joins hosts Peter Tom Jones and Julia Poliscanova to discuss this key question.  Battery recycling of lithium-ion batteries in Europe is technically feasible at scale but recycling economics depend on recovering high-value critical raw materials.  Significant volumes of battery waste continue to leave Europe instead of being recycled locally.  Technology alone will not deliver a circular battery system. The core challenge is to make the ecosystem commercially viable and structurally sustainable.
