Every newborn deserves the best possible start. On International Neonatal Screening Day, we recognize the role neonatal screening has in identifying rare and ultra-rare diseases as early as possible. Early screening opens the door to timely diagnosis, informed decisions, and the opportunity to improve long-term outcomes, yet access to screening remains inconsistent around the world, leaving too many families without answers and support. We stand with IPOPI and the entire community working toward expanding screening programs and access to earlier diagnoses because when it comes to rare diseases, every single day counts.
