As one of the founders of the original PEGASUS project and the resulting PEGASUS project family, it is a great joy to see that on October 1, 2025 a further research project has been started that considers itself in the direct succession line to original PEGASUS and PEGASUS VVM for the safe development and validation of automated and autonomous vehicles. CONTROL stands for "Controlling risk for highly automated transportation systems operating in complex open environments". Together with Safe AI Engineering, which brings PEGASUS methodology to Germany's "KI Familie", a German government project family that focuses on AI topics in automotive application fields, https://lnkd.in/eX8TtN-b there are now again two projects in parallel carrying the original PEGASUS flame and especially its foundational ideas into the future. Great to see in both projects many PEGASUS family colleagues involved.
