#WeekendFind I’ve always wondered about the opportunity costs of meetings – especially the recurring ones. As long as no avatar or AI is taking our place, every office hour can only be spent once. Time remains our scarcest resource. This podcast added a whole new dimension to that thought: putting actual price tags on meetings. Not just the hourly cost of everyone in the room, but also the hidden costs of constant interruptions, context switching, lost focus, and the cognitive load created by jumping from one meeting to the next. The podcast also shares practical ideas companies are testing to reduce meeting overload. A good reminder to ask before accepting or scheduling the next meeting: 👉 Is this meeting worth the collective investment of time? 👉 Could the outcome be achieved asynchronously? 👉 Are the right people in the room – and only the right people? Because every meeting has a cost. The question is whether it creates enough value to justify it. Worth a listen: "Der Meeting-Wahnsinn" by ARD Plusminus. https://lnkd.in/eHTSFCQc #MeetingCulture #Productivity #WorkplaceEfficiency #TimeManagement #WeekendFind
