👩‍💻 Finance, Communications, and Grants: Highlights from May Webinars for Women Entrepreneurs   In May, the Ukrainian Red Cross, in partnership with the UMIND NGO, conducted a series of educational webinars for women entrepreneurs as part of the Supporting Women’s Economic Empowerment in Ukraine programme.   More than 800 participants from different regions of the country joined the events.   🎤 The May series began with the practical training session “Magnetism in Public Speaking: How to Engage People with Yourself, Your Ideas, and Your Messages.” Speechwriter and communications expert Oleksandr Zaioma shared practical approaches to creating effective presentations and overcoming public-speaking anxiety.   📝 The topic of grant funding was addressed during the webinar “Overview of Current Grant Opportunities: How to Apply and What to Consider.” Yuliia Tatenko, Head of the Diia.Business Entrepreneur Support Centre in Odesa, reviewed common mistakes in business plans, explained how applications are assessed by selection committees, and discussed budget planning. Particular attention was given to the importance of social responsibility in business, including the employment of vulnerable groups, as well as the value of partnerships and collaboration in strengthening grant proposals. 📈 Financial management was addressed during the webinar “Business Finance: From Start-Up to Stability.” Business trainer Tetiana Anufriieva taught participants how to separate personal and business finances, calculate break-even points, and set prices for products and services. She emphasised that a lack of financial control can turn a business into a constant source of stress, while proper financial management is essential for sustainable growth and scaling.   📊 The final event of the month was the webinar “A Financial Foundation for Entrepreneurs: Income, Taxes, and Reporting Without Stress.” Financial consultant Olena Kukurudz explained the principles of operating safely as a sole proprietor, discussed the use of the Electronic Taxpayer Cabinet, and shared practical advice on avoiding cash flow gaps and common tax-related mistakes.   The May webinars helped participants structure their approaches to business development, strengthen financial planning skills, and improve their communication competencies.
