The threats facing the UK are changing. Hybrid warfare. Cyber attacks. Rapid technological disruption. Meeting those threats doesn't just take a strong military. It takes engineers, coders, technologists and cyber specialists. That's why we're awarding a share of the £80 million Strategic Priorities Grant to 24 colleges and universities across England. By upgrading facilities and expanding defence-focused engineering and computer science courses, we're building a workforce that can meet the demands of modern security. Defence already supports one in every 60 jobs in the UK. Growing that pipeline means more skilled jobs, more regional investment, and a country better equipped to protect itself.
