We're proud to hear that Rolls-Royce SMR has received the green light to build the UK's first small modular reactors (SMRs) 🎊 Why are we proud? Because CPI has been part of this journey from the early stages, supporting the development of a technology that could reshape how the UK delivers clean, secure energy.   Through our collaboration, we worked with Rolls-Royce SMR to: 🧩 Define achievable outcomes for Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) within modular build constraints. 🛠️ Develop a small-scale module demonstrator to test key functionality. 🏗️ Deliver a representative FAT facility to guide full-scale design. 🔧 Validate the proposed FAT approach using our multidisciplinary expertise   This milestone is more than a project announcement. It’s a signal of real progress for the UK’s nuclear sector, strengthening energy security, enabling low-carbon power at scale, and creating more than 5000 high-value jobs across the supply chain. For CPI, it reflects what’s possible when industry and innovation organisations work together to solve complex challenges and deliver impact where it matters most.   Let's innovate together.
