Incoming MLMI @ Cambridge
I’m delighted to have graduated from Durham University with First-Class Honours in Computer Science. I’m also excited to share that I received the Award for Exceptional Achievement for being the top-performing student throughout the BSc programme, alongside additional awards for achieving over 80% in both my second and final years. My final year included my dissertation, “Distilling Diffusion Models into Fast Autoregressive Graph Generators”, which focused on making powerful graph generative models faster and more practical. I’d like to thank Magnus Bordewich, my academic supervisor, and Stefan Dantchev, my dissertation supervisor, for their support throughout my studies and dissertation. In October, I’ll be starting the MPhil in Machine Learning and Machine Intelligence at the University of Cambridge. I’m especially looking forward to exploring generative modelling, probabilistic machine learning, and geometric deep learning in more depth. Over the summer, I’ll be continuing my work on the British Algorithmic Olympiad with George Topping, writing new problems and exploring company sponsorship for the year ahead. I’ll also be working with Samuel Oliver on a project focused on personalised recommendations for high-quality journalism, supported by Durham University Venture Lab.
