Amazon operates in thousands of communities around the world. A lot of our teams live in those same communities, near the same facilities. That comes with a responsibility to be transparent about how we use shared resources. Today, we're sharing how we use water across our data center operations and what we're doing to give back more than we take. A few facts: 🌊 Our data centers are 7x more water-efficient than the industry average. About 90% of the time, we cool with outside air alone. No water involved. 🔁 We operate 26 facilities using reclaimed water, more than any other cloud provider, with 130 more contracted globally. In places like Mississippi, Hong Kong, and Indonesia, we helped build reclaimed water programs from the ground up. 🌎 We've announced over 50 replenishment projects, from restoring watersheds in Indiana and California to AI-powered leak detection in Frankfurt and Bergamo to $235M in water infrastructure in Oregon where 95% of capacity serves community needs. We're 75% of the way to our commitment to be water positive by 2030, returning more water to communities than we use. We still have work to do. And we're going to keep doing it in the open.
