Let’s get physical. Partner & Team Lead Creation at OBJ.Studio

Out of office. I spent the weekend in the Sächsische Schweiz. Hiking, picking fights with my fear of heights, and the kind of summer relaxation that still turns into 32,000 steps a day. On the last morning we drove into Dresden, a city I had never seen. No work, no mails, no one else's deadlines. And then I turned a corner, and work found me anyway. DOOH EXPLORATION, a project we created at OBJ.Studio with WallDecaux. The premise is simple: digital out-of-home screens are built for advertising. We hand them to artists instead, turning public space into a moving gallery. I knew it was out there. It runs in 15 cities, and I'd already seen it in Hamburg and Berlin. But bumping into it by accident, with nowhere to be, felt completely different. Normally, when we run our events, from small brand experiences to permanent installations, I am part of the team holding it all together. Keeping control, solving the problems, making sure every piece works. This time there was nothing to do. I could just soak it in, like anyone else passing through. Mid commute, mid errand, mid life. And it caught me off guard, in the best way. A piece of art, dropped into an ordinary day, asking nothing in return. This actually makes people's lives a little better. That is what I wish more brands still trusted. The real world is where genuine connection lives. Communities, shared spaces, adding value to each other's lives. That is what lasts, and what grows. Maybe it is time to stop performing.
