Five years since my bachelor's degree... Three years since my master's... It's wild to think about how much has changed and how much my perspective on education itself has shifted (#FullyDevelopedPrefrontalCortex). The older I get, the more I realize that school was never really about having all the answers. It was about learning how to ask better questions, challenge assumptions, research responsibly, and think critically. That's the stuff that follows you long after graduation. I love social media, and I use AI almost every day because both are genuinely incredible tools. But neither one should replace curiosity, media literacy, or the ability to evaluate credible information. We're living in a time where misinformation spreads faster than facts, and research continues to show declines in literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking across ALL age groups. That's not something any of us can afford to ignore!!!! It's a big part of why I care so deeply about the work I do at Gettysburg College. Education isn't just a degree — it's a commitment to keep learning, questioning, and growing. Read academic sources! Listen to experts!! Stay curious!!! And be willing to change your mind when the evidence calls for it!!!!
