Post by Dr. Martin E.

Founder, Investor, CEO and Chairman

With deep sadness, I share that my husband, Dr. Martin Karl Enderle, passed away on April 9, 2026, after battling cancer. Survived by his daughters Sara Neumärker and Seline Neumärker Martin was a distinguished German business leader, board member, and advisor who dedicated his career to building and guiding some of Europe’s most important digital and technology platforms. He served as Chairman and Member of the Supervisory Board of Delivery Hero SE, and held numerous board and advisory roles across international companies, including Egmont, Chrono24, atHome Group, MeinAuto Group, and Nagarro. Previously, as CEO of Scout24 SE Group, he led the company through a period of significant growth and transformation, shaping it into one of Europe’s leading digital classifieds platforms. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership roles at Deutsche Telekom, T-Online International, and McKinsey & Company. Martin held a doctorate in Mathematics, an achievement that shaped his analytical thinking throughout his life. Despite his remarkable career, he remained very humble. Outside of work, he found joy in playing the piano, dedicating himself to practicing concert-level classical music with the same passion he brought to his professional life. Those who worked closely with him remember not only his sharp mind but also the way he treated people. Steffen Kragh, President & CEO of Egmont "Martin has been a strong voice on Egmont’s board in investing in growth companies and daring to invest beyond the core. Martin has been an advocate of the modern consumer and how media consumption would change with technology. We have always trusted Martin's support for building new business, but he would also challenge what would drive value creation and what would create competitive advantage." Soufiane Saadi, CEO of atHomeGroup Group, shared: “Martin was our Chairman, but also a mentor, confidant, and dear friend. What I will remember most is his humanity. He led with integrity, selflessness, and humility, always choosing what was right and supporting others with a kind and non-judgmental heart. Martin was a rare person. Despite his remarkable career, he was incredibly humble—genuinely interested in others, building real connections, and supporting people without judgment. He was a man of honor, integrity, and heart.” Niklas Östberg, Co-founder and CEO of Delivery Hero SE Hero, reflected: “Martin combined sharp strategic thinking with deep humanity. He challenged ideas rigorously while always supporting the people behind them. He was a trusted partner and a person of great integrity.” Dr. Carsten Keller, CEO of Chrono24, wrote: “Martin was an exceptional entrepreneur and a remarkable human being. He showed a rare combination of curiosity, conviction, and clarity of thought, while remaining grounded, warm, and generous. To me, he was a trusted counterpart, a mentor, and a dear friend. I will deeply miss him.” Margo Enderle [email protected]
