Prof. Yangโ€™s award-winning dissertation, Machine Learning Approaches that Extend Healthcare: Algorithms & Applications, highlights his vital contributions to the future of medical informatics. Now directing the Health Intelligence Lab at UCLA, his team is pushing the boundaries of AI in medicine by developing trustworthy clinical algorithms, AI biomarkers, and multimodal language models like "SensorLM" to interpret wearable data.
