🇩🇰 Copenhagen MedTech Innovation Summit 2025 💡 We were delighted to be invited once again to our sister organisation Copenhagen MedTech’s flagship event: the annual Copenhagen MedTech Innovation Summit! 🥳 This year, an even larger delegation represented London on a nearly all-expenses-paid trip, including the Senior Committee: Emily Yang (President), Alisa K. (Treasurer), Helena L. (Vice-President), Tricia Teo (Vice-President), as well as four MedTech UCL members (Ayman A., Ilaria Salucci, Yi-Xuen T. and Zeynap Tolu), the co-founders of Orbion and representatives from KCL MedTech Society. 🇬🇧 Hosted at the University of Copenhagen, the summit offered an invaluable opportunity to explore the forefront of MedTech on an international scale, including insights into innovation strategies across Rigshospitalet Innovation, DTU Health Tech and Johns Hopkins Center for Bioengineering Innovation & Design. 🩻 After Medicoindustrien’s MedTech Careers Fair, the programme featured inspiring talks, panel discussions and networking with industry leaders from Novo Nordisk, Ferrosan Medical Devices, Cook Medical, Elos Medtech and Mermaid Medical Group. ⚕️ Key speakers included clinicians and researchers from TUH - Technical University Hospital of Greater Copenhagen and Rigshospitalet: Dr Christian Hassager, Dr Niels Risør Hammer and Dr Morten Breindahl, who shared expert perspectives on medical technology development in cardiovascular and neurocritical care. 🩺 Our President (Emily Yang) and Treasurer (Alisa Kennan) gave a presentation introducing MedTech UCL and our ongoing partnership with Copenhagen MedTech and later spoke on a panel discussion alongside Tristan Derry, Yosha Pathak, Shaan Kulkarni and Ali Khan to discuss the importance of international collaboration in fostering a pioneering healthcare culture, and how we can strengthen this through our existing MedTech partnerships between Denmark and the UK. 🤝 Our warmest thanks to Mads Bundgaard Nørløv and his wonderful Copenhagen MedTech team for partially sponsoring the trip and delivering such a highly impactful event. We look forward to continuing this collaboration and building an even stronger international MedTech community. 💙
