We’re delighted to announce that Polly Curtis will deliver the keynote speech on 'The Future for Challenge-Led Approaches' at our conference, Tackling Grand Challenges: What Works, What’s Missing, and What’s Next?, on Friday 5 June. Polly Curtis is CEO of Demos. She has a wealth of experience spanning across health, social affairs, media, and education. Her book, Behind Closed Doors, an investigation into social services in England, was published by Virago in February 2022 and was a finalist for the Orwell Prize for Political Writing. In the book, she sets out a vision for a different way in which the state and communities can work together to solve problems. Join us to hear Polly’s keynote speech, alongside other influential researchers, policymakers, practitioners, and innovators. Together, we will explore what works in tackling complex societal challenges, share insights across sectors, and consider how strategies must evolve in a rapidly changing world.
