📍 UCL in South Korea: deepening strategic partnerships. Professor Geraint Rees, UCL’s Vice-Provost (Research, Innovation and Global Engagement), is leading a delegation visit to Korea. We were delighted to spend time at Yonsei University in Seoul. The UCL-Yonsei partnership was formalised through a five-year Memorandum of Understanding signed in January 2025. The universities have undertaken successful joint funding calls and have seen a marked rise in co-publications. UCL and Yonsei share particular strengths in health, engineering, and quantum, and a senior leadership meeting was preceded by academic discussions about neuroscience and quantum tech.
