A major milestone for UCLB spinout NovalGen and Cancer Research UK (CRUK) Centre for Drug Development: the first patient has now been dosed in a Phase 1 clinical trial of NVG‑222, a next‑generation T‑cell engager being developed for ROR1‑positive blood cancers. What’s different about NVG‑222 is its built‑in “AutoRegulation” approach, designed to help control excessive immune activation while keeping T cells effective over time. The trial is led by Chief Investigator Dr Will Townsend at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH). Further patients with ROR1‑positive blood cancers are now being enrolled across the UK, using an adaptive trial design to refine dosing, schedules and biomarkers as the study progresses.
