What it looks like when colleagues across the globe take sustainability personally? We found out. 👀 Over the past month, UCB took part in Ma Petite Planète – a global platform that helps organizations bring sustainability to life through hands-on initiatives. Alongside the platform’s existing challenges, UCB also introduced custom activities linked to our sustainability priorities, further raising awareness about actions that can make a difference for people and the planet. And #TeamUCB clearly got the memo. Together, colleagues validated almost 15,000 challenges and avoided approximately 20 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions – the equivalent of driving nearly 100,000 km in a petrol car (more than twice around the Earth!) and spared more than 5 billion litres of water – the equivalent of 2.3 Olympic-sized swimming pools of water. 🏊 Just as encouraging was what happened beyond the numbers: 93% of participants said they plan to keep at least one to three new sustainable habits, 70% feel more comfortable talking about environmental issues with family and friends and 77% took more sustainable actions than usual during the challenge. That combination of awareness, growth and connection is what enables us to turn ambition into action, embedding sustainability in everyday behaviors across our organization. 🌟 My Little Planet helped us take another step forward, and we’re grateful to every colleague who took part and stepped into the longer journey towards a healthier future. 🙏 #Sustainability #UCBGlobal
