86 years separate these photographs, but the essence remains the same: residents of both European capitals seek shelter in the subway during bombing raids. In London during World War II, 177,000 people descended into the Underground every night to survive Nazi bombings. People slept on platforms and in tunnels, stocked food and water, read books, and children found their own ways to play. 86 years later, tens of thousands of people in Kyiv descend underground again. Once again, they put their children to sleep in makeshift beds on concrete platforms and bring books, blankets, and board games with them. This has been going on for nearly 5 years now. Back then, the world understood: an aggressor can only be stopped by uniting together. Today, Ukraine also needs unity and support to resist russia's brutal war. Help protect Ukrainians in the largest war in Europe since World War II. https://lnkd.in/dqFe9t3W
