Meet our Leadership Team! The U21 Graduate Researchers of Education Community of Practice (U21 GRE CoP) is run by a dedicated team of graduate researchers from U21 institutions. Sanskriti Bhardwaj is Co-Chair of the U21 GRE CoP Leadership Team. Sanskriti (she/her) is an educator, doctoral candidate, and a migrant from India, living, learning, and teaching in Aotearoa-New Zealand. In her research, she explores how people of Asian migrant backgrounds understand their belonging and navigate the borders of exclusion/inclusion in settler colonial contexts. Specifically, she is interested in how women teachers of Indian ethnicity frame their accountability towards others, how they understand their roles and responsibilities across multiple communities in Aotearoa-New Zealand, and how research can engage with their experiences in aesthetic, feminist, and relational ways. Stay tuned, as over the next weeks we'll be spotlighting each member of the leadership team.
