DIGITAL MEDIA ASSISTANT – The office of Congressman Grace Meng is seeking an enthusiastic, creative and detail-oriented Digital Media Assistant based out of her Queens, New York office. Ideal applicant has a passion for digital engagement across online and social media platforms and brings intermediate level graphic design and video editing skills. Enthusiasm and attention to detail are a must. This is an excellent opportunity to grow within the Communications team in a fast-paced, senior Congressional office. Responsibilities include:  •  Creating and editing videos, graphics, and other digital content that is compelling, engaging, on-brand, and error-free •  Proactively drafting daily content in the voice of the Congresswoman and rapid response online messaging for breaking news •  Craft proactive, on-brand digital content ideas as part of the Office’s social media strategy •  Track local news, social media, and community events and proactively identify press opportunities •  Take high quality photos and video of the Congressman at events and in meetings •  Accompany the Congresswoman to events across the NY-06 district filming content •  Compiling the Member’s daily press clips Requirements: •  Bachelor’s or equivalent degree •  Strong writing and proofreading skills •  Stellar graphic and video editing experience •  Self-starter with the ability to work quickly This position will sometimes require evening and weekend work and travel across the district in Queens, New York and NYC. The Digital Media Assistant will report to the Press Secretary and the Communications Director. The salary range for this position is $55,000-$65,000, commensurate with experience.
