š This week at the Chamber: we advanced pro-growth policies and strengthened free enterprise with efforts that reinforce the conditions businesses and communities need to thrive, create jobs, innovate, and grow. š¹ Our 2026 Environmental Innovation Summit underscored a broad consensus that while environmental innovation is already happening across business, government, and academia, accelerating real-world impact will require clear permitting pathways, stronger infrastructure, workforce and community engagement, and closer public-private coordination to support investment and deployment at scale. š¹ Rep. Nicole Malliotakis (R-NY) joined the U.S. Chamber and the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce for a roundtable with local business leaders on pro-growth business tax provisions and the importance of long-term tax relief for workers, families, and businesses. The discussion highlighted how competitive, predictable tax policy supports investment, job creation, and economic growth across Staten Island and beyond. š¹ In partnership with the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce and Volvo Group Group, we hosted Rep. Addison McDowell (R-NC-6) for a transportation roundtable, bringing together North Carolina business and civic leaders to discuss infrastructure funding, regulatory and permitting reform, tariffs, workforce challenges, and the need for long-term certainty to strengthen supply chains and support economic growth. š¹ We held our annual Shared Purpose Awards, recognizing colleagues who model our core values of commitment, accountability, partnership, and integrity. This peer-nominated, full staff recognition program honors employees whose actions and impact strengthen our culture and help us deliver on our mission every day.
