Health policy leaders, innovators, and business voices came together at the U.S. Chamber’s 2026 Health Summit: America’s Health Advantage and the message was clear: America’s greatest competitive edge is its people – their health, resilience and ingenuity. From consumer-centered care to strengthening employer sponsored coverage and accelerating innovation across the healthcare ecosystem, conversations highlighted the policies and partnerships needed to improve access, affordability, and outcomes. Key takeaways included: 🔹 "Healthcare isn't partisan,” said Chris Klomp, Director of Medicare and Deputy Administrator of Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, and Senior Advisor to Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. “Both sides agree on 95% of what needs to be done.” 🔹 Chobani Founder and Chief Executive Officer Hamdi Ulukaya shared his company’s journey from a small, community-based company that grew significantly. At the Summit, Ulukaya advocated for policies that foster entrepreneurship and improve the nation’s health through better food practices. “Health starts from what you put into your body,” he said. 🔹 UPS Healthcare President John J. Bolla stressed the importance of partnerships for the business to enhance reliability, precision, and compliance for patients and consumers who use its services for medical care. He said, “When we work with partners, and work with each of you that are waiting for those packages from your UPS driver every single day, you can count on us to ensure that they’re going to be there.” 🔹 We presented the inaugural Protecting Americans’ Coverage Together Champion Award to Representative Morgan Griffin (R-VA). The coalition is united in support of strengthening and building upon the successful and reliable workplace coverage system and the Congressman was recognized as an ally in this effort. 🔹 Dr. Jacqueline walters ("Dr. Jackie") OB-GYN and the Star of Bravo TV’s Married to Medicine used her platform to bring awareness to women in healthcare and the healthcare workplace crisis: burnout. “This is a patient access issue, and it is a direct threat to the long-term stability of our health care,” she told Summit attendees. “Protecting your healthcare workforce is protecting the patient.” We also marked an exciting milestone with the official launch of the U.S. Chamber’s Health Policy Center, further cementing the business community’s role in shaping the future of healthcare. The Center aims to advocate for policies that empower innovation and save lives. Thank you to the leaders, policymakers, and partners driving this important conversation forward.
