After 12 weeks of normalising the online space for rehearsal and embracing technology to accelerate the pre-production process, this exceptional bunch of young people created a truly magical piece of theatre. We have explored new and innovative practices to navigate the current landscape, pushed creative boundaries and although the timing did not work in our favour, I couldn’t be more proud of what has been achieved. It has been an honour to guide this passionate community through a challenging time and I am grateful to have had the support of such a positive and talented network of minds, hearts and muscles. It’s not the time to wait until we are out of the woods, it’s the time to create value in our time spent amongst the trees. Shall we stop waiting for a return to the normal of 2019 and seize a new modus operandi that keeps us thriving in 2022 and beyond?
