The Turkmenistan–Afghanistan–Pakistan–India (TAPI) Gas Pipeline continues to make meaningful progress, marking another step toward strengthening regional energy connectivity and supporting the growing natural gas demand across South Asia. With construction advancing through western Afghanistan and preparations progressing along key sections of the route, TAPI represents more than just infrastructure—it reflects a long-term vision for cross-border cooperation, energy security, and economic integration. Backed by Turkmenistan’s vast gas reserves, including supply from the Galkynysh field, the project has the potential to diversify energy sources for Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India while supporting sustainable industrial growth and reliable power generation. As Asia’s energy landscape evolves, initiatives like TAPI underscore the importance of strategic partnerships and resilient energy networks in meeting future demand.
