💡The next breakthrough in AI infrastructure, quantum-secure communication, and novel computing will not come from faster transistors. It will come from light. Photonics technologies are becoming a foundational enabler across industries, addressing critical hardware limitations in AI infrastructure, high-precision sensing, novel computing architectures, and quantum-secure communications. The science is increasingly mature. What is still being built is the real-world ecosystem that enables large-scale commercialisation of #photonics. We teamed up with Optica and Wayra to bring together the people who rarely share a room: #startups pushing the frontier, corporates exploring integration, investors backing the winners, researchers who know what is really possible, and policymakers shaping the conditions for all of it.
