One year ago, we launched the Battery Startup Incubator (BaStI) with a clear ambition: building a genuinely useful ecosystem for #battery and energy founders, one that combines scientific depth with real entrepreneurial support. This week, we saw the answer in a room full of exchange, commitment, and battery #innovation. 6️⃣ teams (Anori Tech, ReduCO2, VoID, CereLogic, Carbonalga, and V2H/V2G – Mobile Generators) from the Battery Venture Course took the stage and presented their progress of 8 weeks of venture work, getting: ▶️ A real test of ideas within a high-quality and supportive environment ▶️ Direct feedback from jury members and the broader battery community The result: all ideas held up! Every team walked away with sharper ideas and a clearer path forward! The evening then moved into our Pizza & Pitches of 2026 welcoming Qkera, ReduCo2, and Solela Energy with the latest innovations in battery and energy sector. From concept to a growing community of founders, researchers, and industry experts this is what a year of consistent building looks like! Thank you to everyone who pitched and contributed, and to all those who showed up. A special thanks to our BaStI team (a joint effort from the Chem / Biosystems and Circular / Climate Lab) as well as TUMint Energy Research GmbH who made it happen: Florian Lintl, Dr. Sabine Oldemeyer, Saba Fazal Firdousi Adam, Gayathri Naveen, Valeria Rodriguez Espinoza, Josef Keilhofer, Tanja Zünd, and Nicole Schuster.
