🇬🇷 Turning a destination into a model for sustainable tourism – step by step. 🌱 During a visit to Rhodes, our CEO Sebastian Ebel and Thomas Ellerbeck, Member of the TUI Group Executive Committee, met with Regional Governor George Hatzimarkos to review the progress of The Rhodes Co-Lab. Together with local partners, we are moving from ambition to action – with concrete projects already being implemented across the island. From renewable energy and water management to sustainable mobility, waste reduction and stronger local value chains – the Co‑Lab takes a holistic approach across the entire tourism value chain. Projects like “Field to Fork” of the TUI Care Foundation, biodiversity initiatives and educational programmes for schools are helping to create real impact for the local community while enhancing the experience for our guests. As Sebastian Ebel highlighted: “Sustainability is not only an environmental necessity – it is also an economic opportunity. On Rhodes, solutions like solar energy, efficient water management and electric mobility create real benefits for guests, employees and the local community.” We would like to thank all partners and teams involved for their strong collaboration – and a special thank you to Regional Governor of the South Aegean, George Hatzimarkos, for the trusted partnership and shared vision. 🤝
