πŸš€ SOLID Takes Its Biggest Step Yet What does it take to move a breakthrough energy technology from a student project toward real-world implementation? Last week, Eindhoven University of Technology student team SOLID announced its most ambitious milestone yet: a 2.5 MWh pilot installation that will demonstrate iron-based hydrogen storage at a scale relevant for practical applications. Over the past decade, dozens of students have contributed to developing, testing, and refining this innovative approach to hydrogen storage. What began as an ambitious student initiative is now taking a major step toward helping tackle one of the biggest challenges of the energy transition: storing renewable energy when and where it's needed. The milestone highlights what can happen when talented students are given the space to tackle complex challenges and pursue ambitious ideas. Congratulations to the whole team and those involved in reaching this exciting moment. We can’t wait to see what comes next πŸ‘ πŸ“– Read the full story below: https://lnkd.in/eQ4s4VhR Team SOLID is part of the TU/e Student Team Program – an ecosystem within TU/e innovation Space where interdisciplinary teams tackle real-world challenges through #ChallengeBasedLearning and #Entrepreneurship.
