🏠🌊🌱 Three teams. Three challenges. One shared mission: creating impact through student-driven innovation. Last week, Eindhoven University of Technology student teams VIRTUe, Abyss and Team EDEN welcomed partners and stakeholders to share the progress they've made throughout the past year. 🏠 VIRTU/e showcased the latest developments projects, demonstrating how student-driven innovation can contribute to the future of housing. From rethinking how homes are designed and built to exploring new approaches for sustainable living, the team is tackling one of society's most pressing challenge. 🌊 Discovery Team Abyss presented their work on a novel submarine concept, exploring how phase-change technology could be used to control movement underwater. Their project challenges students to combine mechanical engineering, systems thinking and exploration in pursuit of new possibilities beneath the surface. 🌱 Discovery Team Eden shared how they are developing technology to monitor the Netherlands' extensive network of waterways. By collecting holistic ecosystem data, including water quality, plant life, and animal and insect species, the team aims to generate valuable insights that can support a wide range of stakeholders in understanding and managing these environments. While the challenges are vastly different, the approach is the same: bringing together students from diverse backgrounds to explore complex problems, test ideas and create impact alongside partners from academia, industry, and society. 💬Which challenge facing society today do you think would benefit most from a student-driven approach?
