🎉🥳We are thrilled to announce that our new paper just dropped in Chemical Engineering Journal (CEJ): “Cu-doped perovskites: Tuning methanol steam reforming performance” 🥳🎉 Full article: https://lnkd.in/dXDRb2Wn What’s the story in a nutshell? ✨We’re working towards better, more durable catalysts for turning methanol + steam into hydrogen on demand. ✨Instead of classic supported Cu catalysts, we use perovskite oxides that can “self-decorate” their surfaces active Cu nanoparticles under reaction conditions. ✨By tweaking the perovskite A-site (Nd vs. Pr) and Cu loading, we can tune activity, selectivity, and stability. Huge thanks to an amazing team from the Montanuniversität Leoben and Technische Universität Wien Wien: Hedda Drexler, Jonathan Rollenitz, Lorenz Lindenthal, Florian Schrenk, Maximilian Groiß, Thomas Ruh, Andreas Egger, Raffael Rameshan, Christian Schröder, Johanna Irrgeher, Karin Föttinger, Maricruz Sanchez-Sanchez, and Christoph Rameshan. We are grateful for support from the beamline scientists at Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron DESY PETRA III (beamline P02.1). 🙌 If you’re into catalysts, perovskites, or hydrogen, give it a read. #methanol #catalysis #TUCAS #Montanuniversität Leoben #TU Wien #science
