Renske den Brave, Sterre Neumann and Florine Speth have been in Vietnam the last two months working on creating a better understanding in the hydrological processes and water management in Vietnam together with students from Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment. This is to support the ‘Climate Proof Vietnam’ project, which is a collaborative project set up by the TU Delft and HUNRE. Due to decreasing water quality in i.e. West Lake near Hanoi, research like this in combination with local universities in order to share knowledge is becoming increasingly important. With this research and the data they collected, Renske, Sterre and Florine hope measurements like this will be done even more, so that more possibilities to improve knowledge about local water quality and hydrological processes emerge.
