⚛️🔬 In quantum technology, fragility can be a superpower. Qubits—the building blocks of quantum technologies—are incredibly sensitive to their surroundings. While that sensitivity is often seen as a challenge, it is exactly what makes them powerful tools for quantum sensing. In this video, researchers Shima Rajabali and Salahuddin Nur, and their students at TU Delft, take you behind the scenes of cutting-edge quantum research, from nanofabrication in state-of-the-art cleanrooms to experiments in the Diamond Lab. They show how quantum sensors can detect tiny changes in magnetic fields, temperature, and gravity. These are signals that conventional sensors often cannot measure.
