🔋 New milestone for battery research at #TUBraunschweig 🦁 Our research infrastructure for battery research has grown stronger in recent days with the official inauguration of three new research facilities at the Battery Labfactory Braunschweig. 👏 The Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung has funded the facilities with over 10 million euros. The aim is to research new manufacturing processes for battery electrodes under industry-related conditions and thus contribute significantly to the development of battery cell production in Germany – innovative, sustainable battery cells 'Made in Germany'. This further strengthens the BLB+ Braunschweig Labfactories for Batteries and more network, establishing it as Germany's leading platform for researching circular and sustainable battery production processes and ensuring a climate-friendly, resilient energy supply in Europe. 🌱 “Together, the three facilities form a unique research infrastructure in Germany, enabling us to develop innovations for sustainable, circular and high-performance battery cell technologies across the entire value chain, from basic research to industry-oriented demonstrations,” explains Professor Arno Kwade, Vice-President for Transfer and Innovation at TU Braunschweig and spokesperson for the BLB Executive Board.
