Less carbide. Every operation in one go. As carbide costs rise sharply, the market is looking for tools that use less of it: interchangeable head milling systems and exchangeable tip drills. The TTB NEXT produces both, complete, on a single machine. These tools need many grinding wheels — threading, flute roughing and finishing, clearance roughing and finishing. Here the TTB revolver, with its 2-second wheel change, cuts cycle time where changes are frequent. And they can be automated: an automatic screwing unit in the loading area for the inserts, and a tailstock (optional, for long parts) that reduces vibration and increases precision, allowing exchangeable tip drills to run in a fully automatic cycle.
