As AI drives global semiconductor demand, TSMC is enhancing its localization strategy to secure a steady supply of essential materials. By assisting a Japanese supplier in setting up a factory in Taiwan, we have successfully shortened the production cycle for electroplating additives from 60 to just 20 days, while improving transportation efficiency by 90%. These additives, vital for advanced packaging, are currently utilized at Advanced Backend Fab 2 and are set to expand to Advanced Backend Fabs 3, 5, 6, and 8 by the end of the month.
