🚀 How do you turn #research into real-world impact ? At TRAIL - Trusted AI Labs, we’re not just asking the question, we’re actively building the bridge. Over the past weeks, two key follow-up sessions brought together a unique mix of players from the Smart Specialisation Strategy (S3 Wallonne | Stratégie de Spécialisation Intelligente) ecosystem and TRAIL researchers working on results in maturation. 🎯 The goal : connect cutting-edge #AI research with the people who can help it scale : industry, support structures, funding bodies, and innovation actors. We were joined by a strong ecosystem of partners, including : Pôle MecaTech , Skywin, LOGISTICS IN WALLONIA, Wallonia Export & Investment Agency (AWEX), Wallonie-Bruxelles International (WBI), NCP Wallonie, IGNITY, INFOPOLE, Agence du Numérique (AdN), Wallonie Entreprendre, SPW Economie Emploi Recherche, Réseau LiEU, and multiple TTO. 💡 Two research results stood out (from UMONS) : 🛌 SleepSense A patented AI explainability-based approach to sleep apnea severity scoring now entering clinical study phase. ⚡ FasterAI Labs A TRAIL WP4 spin-off project focused on neural network compression for lightweight, fast, and local AI deployment, especially for image analysis. 🔥 What did we learn ? When research meets the right ecosystem at the right time : ➡️ Industry needs surface ➡️ Testing opportunities emerge ➡️ Collaborations take shape ➡️ Funding pathways open This is exactly what we aim for at TRAIL - Trusted AI Labs : turning AI research into real-world solutions with impact !
