We need your help with something important. At TrueNorth, even small decisions have a way of bringing out big personalities. This week, it wasn’t business strategy, hiring or new tech that got everyone talking - it was a giant teddy bear joining us in the new office. Naturally, we did what any sensible team would do: we opened the floor and asked everyone to name it. The thread, titled “Name that Ted,” quickly took on a life of its own. Suggestions ranged from the refined to the ridiculous. Maurice and DuBois sat alongside Jeff and Big Ted. Jeremiah, Reginald, Eugene and Donald all had their moment. Then came Ruth, Jacob, Joshua… and, for reasons no one can fully explain, Jequis. Order was briefly attempted. A reminder went out to stick to one name per person. That didn’t last long. Nor did any attempt to establish “rules,” as the conversation drifted into increasingly creative combinations, with “Donald Jequis” emerging as a chaotic front-runner. There was a brief moment where “Harding” felt like it might stick. It had structure and presence… but ultimately, it was deemed a little too corporate for a bear of this calibre. Somewhere along the way, the conversation took a nostalgic turn. Childhood teddy names resurfaced, from Elliot the elephant to Pikachu. There was even a short debate about whether everyone actually had a teddy growing up. At the end of all this, no final name has been chosen (yet). But that’s where you come in. What should we name the bear? Add your suggestions in the comments. We’re all ears.
