Many IT directors and managers have a version of this story. The project started well and the consultant leading their project clearly knew their stuff. There was a sensible approach and trust was building. Then, somewhere around month three, that person moved on to something else and someone new arrived. Not someone less competent, just someone who didn't know the project, didn't know the business and needed time to get up to speed. It's one of those things that sounds like a minor inconvenience until you're in the middle of it. We work differently. The people you meet at the start of a TrueNorth project are the people who finish it. Your consultants, your account lead, the people who know why decisions were made and what was agreed...they're all there throughout. They don't disappear when something more interesting comes along. That matters practically as much as it matters in principle. A team that's been with a project from the beginning carries context that simply can't be written down and passed on. They know the detail; they know what's been tried. When something unexpected happens - and it usually does - they deal with it without needing a briefing first. We think that's just how a project should be run. But it's worth checking that question with anyone you're considering working with. If you'd like to know more about how we approach this, just message any member of our team. #DigitalTransformation
