"I only invest in Nigerian stocks. At least I understand what's happening here." We hear this a lot. And it's not wrong. But it's not the full picture either. Naira assets keep you close to the businesses driving the economy you live in every day. Dollar assets put you in a stronger currency and in companies whose reach goes far beyond Nigeria. You don't have to choose one over the other. You just have to know how much of each gets you to your goals faster.
