Our team at Brand se Baai Mine in South Africa partnered with Komatsu and KGR to take a small but meaningful step toward a more sustainable future. Together, we planted indigenous Coastal Silver Oak trees—carefully selected for their resilience, water efficiency, and ability to thrive in coastal conditions. Beyond enhancing the space now known as the Tronox Welcome Garden, these trees will play a lasting role in stabilizing soil, reducing erosion, and supporting long-term rehabilitation efforts. But this initiative is about more than planting trees—it’s about partnership. By working together, we’re not only improving our operational footprint; we’re building stronger relationships and aligning around shared sustainability goals. And this is just the start, with plans already underway to remove invasive species and introduce more indigenous plant life. Because meaningful progress happens when we collaborate—and when we think long-term. #Sustainability #EarthDay #Collaboration #EnvironmentalStewardship #TronoxCares #MiningResponsibly
