We were delighted this morning to welcome elected representatives and media to the launch of public consultation for the Preferred Route (PR) for Luas Cork.   There was a real sense of positivity and momentum around the project in the room. Many expressed the sentiment that Luas Cork feels real, deliverable, and necessary for Cork’s future growth.   It was especially fitting that the launch coincided with #WorldPublicTransportDay, highlighting the vital role public transport plays in everyday life.   Stakeholder engagement is crucial and will be happening throughout the consultation period and beyond. The public consultation is now open until Friday 12 June at 5.30pm.   For more information on Luas Cork Preferred Route, public open days and how to make a submission, you can visit www.luascork.ie.    National Transport Authority Department of Transport
