Delighted to have welcomed Prof. Mark Borland from the University of Saskatchewan at Transmutex, on the back of his semi-annual visit to CERN. Our discussion centered on early lessons learned from our Machine Learning experiment at the PSI. Human in the loop, AI assisted controls translate directly into beam stability, uptime, and the long-term economics. We are excited about the prospect of collaborating with Mark and the thriving Department of Physics at the University of Saskatchewan.
