Last year, through our MAMaZ programmes in Zambia, we supported the introduction of 10 new bicycle ambulances and provided refresher training for 208 bicycle ambulance riders, custodians, and Community Health Volunteers (CHVs). When a health emergency strikes in a remote community, every link in the chain matters. CHVs are often the first point of contact, helping families recognise danger signs of severe malaria and a maternal health emergency, then calling for the bicycle ambulance to help people reach healthcare facilities when time is critical. This community-based approach continues to play a vital role in improving access to healthcare and helping save lives in rural Zambia, contributing to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goal 3: Good Health and Well-being. A huge thank you to our partners, supporters, and volunteers for helping make this impact possible. #accesstohealthcare #malaria #maternalhealth #SDG3
