Another outstanding weekend in the shop! ❤️ A brilliant mix of our regulars, veterans, families, and even two serving Paras who are due to pass out next week. Good luck lads! 🪂 The Doodle Cube continues to steal our hearts. Today one young artist proudly drew and coloured her own picture, and honestly… it’s absolutely brilliant. To us it looks suspiciously like a Para who’s managed to land in a tree, so naturally we’ve named him Bernie. 🌳🪂😂 The messages being left on the cube are genuinely humbling. Every generation has added something, from little ones discovering Remembrance for the first time to veterans sharing memories that stop you in your tracks, creating a wonderful snapshot of our community. It’s becoming a piece of local history, one doodle at a time. It really has become something very special thanks to Steve Andrews 🫡 Think you’ve got eagle eyes? 👀 We’ve also hidden 13 little soldiers around the shop. Can you find them all? We’ve also got plenty of colouring sheets too, so pop in and grab one. Take it home, work your magic, and if you bring it back we’ll proudly display it in the shop… although you’re more than welcome to keep your masterpiece if you can’t bear to part with it! 🎨 As always, the banter between the different services has been first class and relentless 🤣 After careful consideration (and absolutely no consultation whatsoever), we’ve reached an executive decision… Bernie has officially been appointed Permanent Tea Boy. ☕🤣 Apparently he’s too valuable to be allowed weekends off anymore… Thank you to our Poppy donators - please keep those needles and hooks busy 🧶🙏 Kev is swapping his chairman’s role for his standard bearing role and will be joining the team other standards from around the County in a parade at Spilsby Show. Same again next week 🫡
