Toyota Motor Corporation is actively pursuing a "hydrogen society" to achieve carbon neutrality by developing a comprehensive hydrogen ecosystem. This includes promoting fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs) like the Mirai, commercial trucks, buses, and stationary fuel cell generators, while advancing hydrogen combustion engines and collaborating on infrastructure expansion to produce, transport, and use hydrogen. Toyota Tsusho is expanding its hydrogen business globally, focusing on green hydrogen production, supply chain development, and industrial applications to achieve carbon neutrality. Key projects include onshore wind-powered electrolysis in Japan, biogas-derived hydrogen production in Thailand, and port decarbonization initiatives in the UK and the USA. Toyota Tsusho Canada, Inc. (TTCI) conducted a hydrogen blending trial at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada, in Woodstock, back in June, burning a mixture of hydrogen and natural gas in one of the boilers producing steam for the plant. Each year, TTCI participates in the Canadian Hydrogen Convention in Edmonton. This year was especially exciting as TTCI presented the results of its hydrogen blending trial on the main stage, elevating the Toyota Tsusho Canada name and highlighting its contribution to advancing the hydrogen cause.
